MCCCD Chemistry and Biotechnology
The MiraCosta Community College District’s (MCCCD) new Chemistry and Biotechnology Building is a 24,000SF state-of-the-art lab and classroom space that will become a pillar for STEM education on the Oceanside campus. New chemistry and biotechnology laboratories combined with flexible 40-person classrooms provide a strong foundation for MCCCD’s STEM community.
REWIND provided full service Fire Alarm, Voice Data, and Audio Visual design for the new building. A defining feature of the Voice Data design is the inclusion of cable trays throughout the laboratory spaces. This design choice was made for both functional and aesthetic reasons; to provide unrestricted access to data and to allow the cabling system to enhance the presentation of the space.
